About me:

• I have a master’s degree in Christian apologetics from Biola University.

  • Apologetics is the discipline that seeks to provide an intellectual defense of Christian truth claims, including using philosophy, science and history to provide good reasons.

• As an adult I was drawn to Christian apologetics, where I found intellectual reasons to support my faith. 

• I have enjoyed teaching apologetics at my local church.

• I am married with three children.

Core Beliefs:

• I believe in classical Christianity, including the following:

  • I believe that there is one God, who exists in three distinct persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • I believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, and, as the Bible teaches, is the only means to salvation.

  • I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the supreme authority for spiritual truth.  Scripture must be interpreted correctly, but it is the ultimate guide for spiritual truth and practicing our faith.

  • I believe that humans are made in the image of God; and after original sin from Adam and Eve, all humanity now has a sinful nature.

  • I believe that, according to the Bible, salvation is by grace from God by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9).  Good works cannot be done to earn our way to heaven, but good works do validate our faith.

What is the purpose of this website?

• Share evidence for God with an easy and interesting approach - use simple, clear points (along with some pictures) to answer questions about truth and evidence for Christianity.

  • CHRISTIANS: I hope this information is helpful to love God with your mind and share your faith with others.

  • NON-CHRISTIANS: I hope this information is helfpul for people to make the most important decision of their life - the eternal destination of their soul.

• Ask pointed-questions about current news events and cultural topics that are releveant to Christians, especially, news events that relate to ethics or Christian doctrine.

• Provide recommendations on resources to help Christians learn the evidence as well as for others seeking spiritual truth.

Peer Review of Points

• Christian Points will take a stand, sharing a point of view that is based evidence and reason (logic). 

• That said, I invite others to contact me with any questions and/or concerns regarding these points. 

• If necessary, I encourage people to offer recommendations to enhance these points, including the reason(s) why their suggestion is appropriate.  I am committed to evaluating any submissions and considering making changes, because ultimately what is most important is truth!

Ultimate Authority

• Although this may be obvious, I want to be clear that this website is NOT a substitute for reading the Bible, which I deem to be the inspired Word of God and the authority on spiritual truth.

• If any information on this website contradicts Biblical teaching, the Bible always takes precedence.

 

Approach

• The approach I seek to maintain is to treat everyone with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15). 

• It is not my intention to disrespect anyone or their current beliefs.  I respect everyone’s free will, which God has granted to all of humankind.

• I am offering what I believe is critical information to make an eternal decision, that hopefully you may consider in your spiritual journey.

• Any and all users of this website are expected to also maintain an approach that is respectful.
